Song Sheet January 25th
Entrance Hymn: All Creatures of our God and King
All creatures of our God and King, lift up your voices, let us sing: Alleluia! Alleluia! Bright burning sun with golden beams, soft silver moon that gently gleams, O praise him! O praise him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Great rushing winds who are so strong, You clouds above that sail along, O praise him! Alleluia! Fair rising morn, with praise rejoice, stars nightly shining, find a voice, O praise him! O praise him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Swift flowing water, pure and clear, make music for your Lord to hear, Alleluia! Alleluia! Fire so intense and fiercely bright, who gives to us both warmth and light, O praise him! O praise him! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Offertory Hymn: The Summons
Will you come and follow me if I but call your name? Will you go where you don’t know and never be the same? Will you let my love be shown? Will you let my name be known, will you let my life be grown in you and you in me?
Will you leave yourself behind if I but call your name? Will you care for cruel and kind and never be the same? Will you risk the hostile stare should your life attract or scare? Will you let me answer prayer in you and you in me?
Will you let the blinded see if I but call your name? Will you set the prisoners free and never be the same? Will you kiss the leper clean and do such as this unseen, and admit to what I mean in you and you in me?
Will you love the “you” you hide if I but call your name? Will you quell the fear inside and never be the same? Will you use the faith you’ve found to reshape the world around, Through my sight and touch and sound in you and you in me?
Lord your summons echoes true when you but call my name. Let me turn and follow you and never be the same. In Your company I’ll go where Your love and footsteps show. Thus I’ll move and live and grow in you and you in me.
Communion Hymn: Lord You Have Come
Lord, you have come to the seashore, Neither searching for the rich nor the wise. Desiring only that I should follow.
(Refrain) O Lord, with your eyes set upon me, Gently smiling, you have spoken my name; All I longed for I have found by the water, At your side, I will seek other shores.
Lord, see my goods, my possessions; In my boat you find no power, no wealth.
Will you accept, then, my nets and labor? (To refrain)
Lord, take my hands and direct them. Help me spend myself in seeking the lost,
Returning love for the love you gave me. (To refrain)
Lord, as I drift on the waters, Be the resting place of my restless heart,
My life’s companion, my friend and refuge. (To refrain)
Recessional Hymn: How Can I Keep From Singing
My life flows on in endless song; Above earth’s lamentation. I hear the real though far off hymn that hails a new creation.
(Refrain) No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I’m clinging. Since love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?
Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear that music ringing; It sounds and echoes in my soul; How can I keep from singing? (To Refrain)
What though the tempest ‘round me roar, I hear the truth it liveth. What though the darkness ‘round me close, songs in the night it giveth. (To Refrain)
