Blessed are they who are poor in spirit, Theirs is the kingdom of God. Bless us, O Lord, make us poor in spirit; Bless us, O Lord, our God

(Refrain) We are the light of the world; may our light shine before all, that they may see the good that we do, and give glory to God.

Blessed are they who are meek and humble, They will inherit the earth Bless us, O Lord, make us meek and humble; Bless us, O Lord, our God. (To Refrain)

Blessed are they who will mourn in sorrow, They will be comforted. Bless us, O Lord,

when we share their sorrow; Bless us, O Lord, our God. (To Refrain)

Bless those who hunger and thirst for justice, They will be satisfied. Bless us, O Lord, hear our cry for justice; Bless us, O Lord, our God. (To Refrain)

Offertory: Here I Am Lord

I the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin, My hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

(Refrain) Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go Lord, If you lead me, I will hold your people in my heart

I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain. I have wept for love of them. They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send? (To Refrain)

I the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame. I will set a feast for them, My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide, Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life to them, Whom shall I send?(To Refrain)

Communion: Spirit and Grace

Spirit and grace, here in this meal. You are the wind that breathes through the field. Gather the wheat and form us in Christ. Come, be our source and breath of life.

Refrain: In this bread, blessed, broken and shared, Christ is our life, whose presence we bear. Come, O spirit, make your grace revealed in this holy meal.

Spirit and grace, here in this meal. You are the life that flows through the vine. Gather this drink and form us in Christ. Come, be our source and blood of life. (To Refrain)

Spirit and grace, here in this place. You are the light that shines in this space. Gather your people and form us in Christ. Come, be the heartbeat of our lives. (To Refrain)

Spirit of God, sending us forth; We spread your wisdom throughout all the earth Gather the nations and form us in Christ. Come, be the presence in our lives. (To Refrain)

Recessional: Sent Forth By God’s Blessing

Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing, the people of God from his dwelling take leave. God’s sacrifice ended, O now be extended, the fruits of this Mass in all hearts who believe. The seed of Christ’s teaching, our inner souls reaching, shall blossom in action for God and for all. His grace shall incite us, his love shall unite us to further God’s kingdom and answer his call.

With praise and thanksgiving, to God who is living, the tasks of our everyday life we embrace. Our faith ever sharing, in love ever caring, we claim as our neighbor all those of each race. One bread that has fed us, one light that has led us; unite us as one in his life that we share. Then may all the living with praise and thanksgiving give honor to Christ and his name that we bear.
