Song Sheet September 29th
Entrance Hymn: Glory and Praise to Our God
(Refrain) Glory and praise to our God, Who alone gives light to our days Many are the blessings He bears To those who trust in His ways
We the daughters and sons of Him Who built the valleys and plains Praise the wonders our God has done In every heart that sings (To Refrain)
In His wisdom He strengthens us Like gold that's tested in fire Though the power of sin prevails Our God is there to save (To Refrain)
Every moment of every day our God is waiting to save, always ready to seek the lost, to answer those who pray. (To Refrain)
Offertory Hymn: The Servant Song
Will you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you; Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant, too.
We are pilgrims on a journey, we are travelers on the road; We are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load.
I will hold the Christlight for you in the night time of your fear; I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear.
I will weep when you are weeping; When you laugh I’ll laugh with you. I will share your joy and sorrow ‘til we’ve seen this journey through.
When we sing to God in heaven we shall find such harmony, born of all we’ve known together of Christ’s love and agony.
Will you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you; Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant, too.
Communion Hymn: One Bread, One Body
(Refrain) One bread, one body, one Lord of all, one cup of blessing which we bless. And we, though many, throughout the earth, we are one body in this one Lord.
Gentile or Jew, servant or free, woman or man, no more. (To refrain)
Many the gifts, many the works, one in the Lord of all. (To refrain)
Grain for the fields, scattered and grown, gathered to one, for all. (To refrain)
Recessional Hymn: How Can I Keep From Singing
My life flows on in endless song; Above earth’s lamentation. I hear the real though far off hymn that hails a new creation.
(Refrain) No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I’m clinging. Since love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?
Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear that music ringing; It sounds and echoes in my soul; How can I keep from singing? (To Refrain)
What though the tempest ‘round me roar, I hear the truth it liveth. What though the darkness ‘round me close, songs in the night it giveth. (To Refrain)
