Entrance: Lord, Who at Thy First Eucharist
Lord, who at thy first Eucharist did pray that all thy church might be forever one; Grant us at ev’ry Eucharist to say with longing heart and soul, “Thy will be done.” O may we all one bread, one body be, through this blest Sacrament of Unity.
For all thy Church, O Lord, we intercede; Make thou our sad divisions soon to cease; Draw us the nearer each, to each we plead, By drawing all to thee, O Prince of Peace; Thus may we all one bread, one body be, Through this blest Sacrament of Unity.
We pray thee, too, for wand’rers from thy fold; O bring them back, Good Shepherd of the sheep, back to the faith which saints believed of old, back to the church which still that faith doth keep; Soon may we all one bread, one body be, Through this blest Sacrament of Unity.
So, Lord, at length when sacraments shall cease, May we be one with all thy Church above, one with thy saints in one unbroken peace, One with thy saints in one unbounded love; More blessed still in peace and love to be One with the Trinity in Unity.
Offertory: Let All Mortal Flesh
Let all mortal flesh keep silence, and with fear and trembling stand; Ponder nothing earthly minded, For with blessing is His hand, Christ our God to earth descendeth, Our full homage to demand.
King of Kings, Yet born of Mary, As of old earth He stood, Lord of Lords, In human vesture, In the body and the blood; He will give to all the faithful. His own self for heavenly food.
Rank on rank the host of heaven spreads it's vanguard on the way, As Light of light descendeth from the realms of endless day, That the powers of hell may vanish as the darkness clears away.
At His feet the six-winged seraph, Cherubim, With sleepless eye, Veil their faces to His presence as with ceaseless voice they cry: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Lord Most High!
Communion: Gift of Finest Wheat
(Refrain) You satisfy the hungry heart, with gift of finest wheat, Come give to us, O Saving Lord, The Bread of Life to eat.
As when the shepherd calls his sheep, they know and heed his voice, so when you call your family Lord, we follow and rejoice. (To refrain)
With joyful lips, we sing to you, our praise and gratitude. That you should count us worthy Lord to share this Heavenly food. (To refrain)
Is not the cup we bless and share, the blood of Christ outpoured? Do not one cup, one loaf declare, our oneness in the Lord? (To refrain)
The mystery of your presence, Lord, No mortal tongue can tell: Whom all the world can not contain comes in our hearts to dwell. (To refrain)
Recessional: At the Lamb’s High Feast
At the Lamb's high feast we sing praise to our victorious King, He has washed us in the tide
flowing from his open side; praise we him whose love divine gives his sacred blood for wine,
gives his body for the feast, Christ the victim, Christ the priest.
Where the paschal blood is poured, death's dark angel sheathes his sword;
Israel's hosts triumphant go through the wave that drowns the foe. Praise we Christ, whose blood was shed, paschal victim, paschal bread; with sincerity and love eat we manna from above.
Easter triumph, Easter joy, Sin alone can this destroy; From sin’s power do thou set free souls newborn, O Lord, in thee. Hymns of glory, songs of praise, Father, unto thee we raise: Risen Lord, all praise to thee with the Spirit every be.
