Entrance Hymn: The Church’s One Foundation
The Church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord; She is His new creation by water and the Word: From heav'n He came and sought her to be His holy Bride; With His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.
Elect from every nation, yet one o'er all the earth, Her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth; One holy Name she blesses, partakes one holy food, And to one hope she presses, with every grace endued.
'Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war, She waits the consummation of peace for evermore; Till, with the vision glorious, her longing eyes are blest, And the great Church victorious shall be the Church at rest.
Offertory Hymn: The King of Love
The King of love my Shepherd is, Whose goodness fails me never: I nothing lack if I am His And He is mine forever.
Where streams of living water flow when gentle care he leads me,, And where the verdant pastures grow, With heavenly food he feeds me
Perverse and foolish I have strayed, but yet in love he sought me, and on his shoulder gently laid, and home, rejoicing, brought me.
.
In death’s dark vale I fear no ill With you, dear Lord, beside me; Your rod and staff my comfort still, Your cross before to guide me.
You spread a table in my sight; your saving grace bestowing; And, oh, what joy and true delight From your pure chalice flowing!
And so through all the length of days your goodness fails me never; Good Shepherd, may I sing your praise Within your house forever.
