Song Sheet July 20th
Entrance Hymn: All Are Welcome
Let us build a house where love can dwell and all can safely live A place where saints and children tell how hearts learn to forgive. Built of hopes and dreams and visions Rock of faith and vault of grace Here the love of Christ shall end divisions All are welcome, all are welcome All are welcome in this place.
Let us build a house where prophets speak and words are strong and true Where all God's children dare to seek to dream God's reign anew. Here the cross shall stand as witness and a symbol of God's grace. Here as one we claim the faith of Jesus All are welcome, all are welcome All are welcome in this place.
Let us build a house where love is found In water, wine and wheat: A banquet hall on holy ground Where peace and justice meet. Here the love of God, through Jesus Is revealed in time and space As we share in Christ the feast that frees us All are welcome, all are welcome All are welcome in this place.
Offertory Hymn: Be Still and Near
Be still my soul, the Lord is on thy side! Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain; Leave to thy God to order and provide in every change he faithful will remain. Be still my soul, thy best, thy heavenly friend through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still my soul, thy God doth undertake to guide the future as he has the past; Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake all now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still my soul, the waves and winds still know his voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.
Be still my soul, the hour is hastening on when we shall be forever with the Lord, When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored. All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.
Communion Hymn: You are Near
(Refrain) O Lord, I know you are near, standing always at my side.
You guard me from the foe, and you lead me in ways everlasting.
Lord, you have searched my heart, and you know when I sit and when I stand. Your hand is upon me protecting me from death, keeping me from harm. (To Refrain)
Where can I run from Your love? If I climb to the heavens You are there; If I fly to the sunrise or sail beyond the sea, still I'd find You there. (To Refrain)
You know my heart and its ways, you who formed me before I was born in the secret of darkness before I saw the sun in my mother's womb. (To Refrain)
Marvelous to me are Your works; how profound are Your thoughts, my Lord. Even if I could count them, they number as the stars, You would still be there. (To Refrain)
Recessional Hymn: Joyful Joyful
Joyful, Joyful we adore Thee God of glory, Lord of love Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee Opening to the sun above. Melt the clouds of sin and sadness Drive the dark of doubt away Giver of immortal gladness Fill us with the light of day.
All thy works with joy surround thee, Earth and heaven reflect thy rays Stars and angels sing around thee, Center of unbroken praise; Field and forest, Vale and mountain, Flow’ry meadow flashing sea, Chanting bird and flowing fountain, Call us to rejoice in thee.
Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest; Well-spring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest! Thou our father, Christ our brother, all who live in love are thine; teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.
