Song Sheet August 2nd

Entrance: As We Gather at Your Table

As we gather at your table, as we listen to your word, Help us know, O God, your presence: Let our hearts and minds be stirred. Nourish us with sacred story till we claim it as our own; Teach us through this holy banquet how to make love’s victory known.

Turn our worship into witness in the sacrament of life; Help us forth to love and serve you, bringing peace where there is strife. Give us, Christ, your great compassion to forgive as you forgave; May we still behold your image in the world you died to save.

Gracious spirit, help us summon other guests to share that feast. Where triumphant love will welcome those who had been last and least. There no more will envy blind us; nor will pride our peace destroy. As we join with saints and angels to repeat the sounding joy.

Offertory: Come to the Water

O let all who thirst, let them come to the water. And let all who have nothing, let them come to the Lord; without money, without price. Why should you pay the price, except for the Lord?

O let all who seek, let them come to the water. And let all who have nothing let them come to the Lord: without money, without strife. Why should you spend your life, except for the Lord?

And let all who toil, let them come to the water. And let all who are weary, let them come to the Lord: all who labor, without rest. How can your soul find rest, except for the Lord?

And let all the poor, let them come to the water. Bring the ones who are laden, bring them all to the Lord: bring the children without might. Easy the load and light: come to the Lord.

Communion: Taste and See

(Refrain)Taste and see, taste and see the goodness of the Lord. O taste and see, taste and see the goodness of the Lord, of the Lord.

I will bless the Lord at all times. Praise shall always be on my lips; my soul shall glory in the Lord for God has been so good to me. (To Refrain)

Glorify the Lord with me. Together let us all praise God's name. I called the Lord who answered me; from all my troubles I was set free. (To Refrain)

Worship the Lord, all you people. You'll want for nothing if you ask. Taste and see that the Lord is good; in God we need put all our trust. (To Refrain)

Recessional: I Heard the Voice

I heard the voice of Jesus say "Come unto Me, and rest; Lay down, thou weary one, lay down Thy head upon My breast." I came to Jesus as I was, so weary, worn, and sad; I found in Him a resting place And He has made me glad.

I heard the voice of Jesus say "Behold, I freely give The living water; thirsty one, stoop down, and drink, and live." I came to Jesus, and I drank Of that life giving stream; My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in Him.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world's light; Look unto me, thy morn shall rise, and all thy day be bright.” I looked to Jesus, and I found in him my star, my sun: and in that light of life I’ll walk till traveling days are done.
