Frequently Asked Questions

Home Mission is a five-day, hands-on service initiative where we share Christ’s love in our local community. You can expect to serve in a variety of ways, including outreach at Camelot Nursing Home, evangelization and home visits in Broussard, shifts at Catholic Charities’ shelters, and a home rebuilding project. Alongside service, each day will include time for prayer and the Sacraments, apostolic formation, and fellowship with your fellow Home Mission trip missionaries!

Home Mission is designed to be a full, immersive experience—just like a foreign mission trip. By committing to all five days, you’ll have the opportunity to fully engage in the service, prayer, and community aspects of the mission. Each day builds on the next, allowing you to grow deeper in faith, fellowship, and the impact we’re making together. For this reason, participants are asked to commit to the entire mission experience rather than individual days.
There are many additional ways to participate in the Home Mission event:
Cook and serve the team: Prepare coffee, lunch, and dinner for the home team.
Donate: Contribute items or financial donations to support the projects. Click HERE to make a donation and please make sure to put Home Mission.
Pray: Even if you can’t physically participate, your prayers for the success of the mission and for those we serve are invaluable.

Home Mission is open to everyone—whether you're single, married, a teen, a grandparent, or a family with kids. This mission is for our entire parish family! There will be opportunities for all ages. Families with young children (under age 7) will have service options tailored to be both meaningful and manageable. Spouses or family members who aren’t able to serve during the day are welcome to join us each evening for dinner and formation at a discounted rate. It’s a great way to stay connected, be encouraged, and support your loved ones on the mission!
*Home Mission has a limited capacity of 50 adults. Once capacity is reached, a waitlist will be offered.
